Fazio Foie Gras

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken livers, halved
  • 3/4 stick butter, melted
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp basil, thyme, oregano - each
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbs red wine or brandy (optional)
  • 1 bay leaf

Directions

  1. Mix all but liquor in baking dish

  2. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees

  3. Process in blender, adding liquor

  4. Let set in 4 containers in refrigerator
