Garlic Grilled Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1 cup picante sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • additional picante sauce

Directions

  1. Place each chicken breast between 2 pieces of plastic wrap.

  2. Flatten chicken to 1/4-inch thickness, using a meat mallet; cut into 1-inch pieces.

  3. Place in a shallow container.

  4. Combine next 7 ingredients, mixing well.

  5. Pour over chicken;cover and chill 1-2 hours. Thread chicken onto skewers; cook over hot coals 6-8 minutes or until done, turning occasionally and basting with remaining marinade. 7 Serve with picante sauce.
