Butter Pecan Pie Squares

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Combine 1 1/4 cups flour and 1/3 cup sugar in a medium bowl; cut in 1/2 cup butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.

  2. Press mixture evenly into a greased 9-inch square pan.

  3. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.

  4. Combine next 7 ingredients, and beat well. Stir in pecans.

  5. Pour filling over prepared crust.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until firm.

  7. Let cool on a rack; cut into squares.
