Roast Beef

Serves 5 people

  • 3-4 lbs roast beef, like an outside round or inside round
  • 1/2 onion, chopped or sliced
  • mustard
  • salt
  • pepper
  • steak spice
  • olive oil


  1. Season roast with salt & pepper, or steak spice – whatever spice you like.

  2. In a heavey bottom pot or dutch oven, heat the oil. Sear the roast on all sides.

  3. Spread some mustard all over the roast.

  4. Once roast is browning on the last side, add the onions and cook for a few minutes, until softened.

  5. ace roast in preheated oven. 275 – 325, the lower the temp, the longer the cooking time. Cook for about 1.5 – 2 hours, until well done.
