Granola

Ingredients

  • 4 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup sliced almonds or walnuts or other nuts
  • 1/2 unsweetened coconut
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup wheat bran
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup

Directions

  1. In a saucepan combine brown sugar and honey or syrup. Bring to a boil.

  2. Toss with oat mixture.

  3. Place granola on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. Bake for 35 – 40 minutes, until lightly toasted.

  5. Turn and bake for another 10 – 15 minutes.

  6. Break up and cool.

  7. Stir in 1 cup dried fruit.
