Spiced Chai

Ingredients

  • 4 Darjeeling tea bags or 4 tsp loose tea
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 10 whole cardamon pods, bruised
  • 2 cinnamon sticks, broken
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups milk

Directions

  1. Place tea, cloves, cardamon, cinnamon, star anise, honey and water in large saucepan.

  2. Bring to a boil.

  3. Cook gently for 5 minutes.

  4. Add milk and heat thoroughly but do not boil.

  5. Strain and serve.
