Baked Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter (I used salted butter back in the day)
  • 1 (8 ounce) bottle Italian dressing
  • 2 lemons, juice of
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper (I use more than this, just keep grinding until it looks right)
  • 3 lbs large shrimp, peeled, deveined, with tails on

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a 13 × 9 inch baking dish; add dressing, lemon juice, and pepper.

  2. Add shrimp to sauce, mixing well.

  3. Bake at 325° for 25-30 minutes, stirring several times; (watch the cooking time because it didn’t usually take this long; when the shrimp turn pink, remove one and test for doneness by cutting it in half; if the shrimp are opaque throughout and no longer translucent, they’re done).
