Puff Pastry

Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 egg
  • cold water
  • butter

Directions

  1. Combine the flour, egg and cold water

  2. Knead well

  3. Cut pieces of butter and place on 1/2 of dough.

  4. Smooth out the butter

  5. Fold over

  6. Cover and place in refrigerator for 20 minutes

  7. Roll out again and repeat 5 more times

  8. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 2 hours

  9. Section into 2 parts

  10. With the filling side facing you, roll out thin.

  11. Place in buttered pan.

  12. Fill with your choice of filling

  13. Repeat with the top layer

  14. Dot with butter and bake at 350 until golden brown
