Stromboli

Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade pizza dough)
  • 1/2 lb. Colby jack or cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 2 pkgs. sliced deli meat (turkey, ham, or chicken)
  • Pizza Sauce

Directions

  1. Roll dough out onto cookie sheet. With a knife, lightly make two lines in the dough from top to bottom (showing equal thirds). Cut the two outside thirds of the dough in strips, still connected to the middle third. Place meat and cheese in consecutive layers in the middle third of the dough.

  2. To wrap the dough, start at the top and take one of the sliced pieces and fold to the opposite side. Do the same with one piece from the other side; continue switching back and forth, folding the pieces all the way to the bottom until it is fully wrapped. Bake in the over at 350° about 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown on top and cheese is sizzling.

  3. Cut into serving sizes and dip in pizza sauce and eat!
