GLOVE/MITTEN HOLDER

(from New Life Bible Church Women’s recipe box)

There are several variations that can be used in making this. It can be crocheted using yarn, macraméd using jute or by just using jute/cord and the clothespins. Either colored plastic or wooden clothespins can be used. I prefer the colored plastic ones.

Ingredients

  • 7 Colored Plastic or Wooden Clothespins
  • Jute/cord or Yarn

Directions

  1. Cut a piece of jute about 12 feet long.

  2. Fold the jute in half. The top will be where the fold is. Leave enough room at the top (a couple of inches) to hang the holder and tie a knot. If you want you can actually tie the cord onto some sort of decorative ring.

  3. Go down about 5". Put the two pieces of cord around the center of the clothespin and tie a knot so that the clothespin is held in an upright position.

  4. Go down about 7" and repeat, tying a knot around another clothespin. Continue this step until you have as many clothespins as you want on the holder. I usually do 6 or 7 clothespins.

  5. At the bottom of the holder, tie a double knot to finish it off.

  6. Each clothespin holds a pair of gloves or mittens.
