Refrigerator Pickles

Ingredients

  • 7 cups unpeeled, sliced cucumbers
  • 1 cup onion, sliced
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/4 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. turmeric

Directions

  1. Mix the first four ingredients. Let stand overnight.

  2. Drain the cucumber mixture. Heat the remaining ingredients and pour over the cucumber mixture. Refrigerate.
