Basic Meat Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 (28oz) jar sausage flavored spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (8oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 (8oz) pkg. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8oz shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 (15oz) container ricotta cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c dried oregano
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1/4 c grated Parmesean cheese

Directions

  1. eheat oven to 375. In a skillet over medium heat season ground beef with garlic powder & oregano. Brown the meat and drain. In a large sauce pan add spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce & oregano; set aside. In a skillet heat olive oil. Saute garlic & onions for about 5 minutes. Mix sauteed onions & garlic with meat into the sauce and cook 15 minutes.

  2. Combine mozarella & provolone cheeses in a medium bowl. In a medium bowl mix ricotta cheese, eggs, milk & oregano.

  3. Layer a 9×13 baking pan with just enough sauce to cover the bottom of the pan. Lay 3 noodles in the pan. Cover with sauce, then ricotta mixture then sprinkle with mozarella/provolone mixture; repeat layering.

  4. Bake @ 375 covered for 30 minutes then uncovered for 15 minutes.
