Maple Breakfast Sandwiches

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 2 1/3 cups Original Bisquick
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons maple-flavored syrup
  • 3 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
  • 1 package (7 or 8 ounces) frozen sausage patties
  • 3 slices processed American cheese, cut diagonally in half

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Stir Bisquick, milk, maple syrup, and margarine until soft dough forms (dough will be sticky).

  3. Place dough on surface sprinkled with Bisquick; roll in Bisquick to coat.

  4. Shape into a ball; knead 8 to 10 times.

  5. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick.

  6. Cut with 3 inch round cutter dipped in Bisquick.

  7. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

  8. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. Cook sausage patties as directed on package.

  10. Cut warm biscuits horizontally in half.

  11. Place sausage patty and piece of cheese in each biscuit.

  12. Serve with additional maple syrup if desired.
