Mojave Chili!

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Ground Beef
  • 1 large white onion
  • 1 large red bell pepper
  • 5 cloves garlic (chopped)
  • 1-2 jalapenos diced ( or reserve and serve on the side)
  • 2-4 cups beef stock
  • 3 29 oz cans kidney beans
  • 1 15 oz can black beans
  • 2T Mojave chili and Ribs Seasoning
  • 8 oz El Pato hot tomato sauce (Yellow Can)
  • 1 sm can tomato paste
  • 2 28 oz can of stewed tomatoes (Diced/chopped into chunks)
  • 3 Tbs cumin
  • 1 Tbs oregano
  • salt/pepper to taste
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Chopped Green Onion
  • Sour Cream
  • Corn Bread

Directions

  1. Brown the meat and onion, add the garlic and jalapeno for the last two minutes.

  2. Add the stewed tomato, El Pato, and 2 cups of beef broth.

  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

  4. Add paprika, chili powder, beans with the liquid and any other spices.

  5. Simmer 1 – 2 hours.

  6. Serve with goodies: shredded cheese, chopped green onion, sour cream, and don’t forget the corn bread muffins!
