Pizza Napolitana

Use dough from other Pizza Napolitana Dough recipe.

Cook time: 15 minutes
Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pizza pizza or spaghetti sauce
  • olive oil to taste
  • 2 cups grated mozarella cheese
  • pizza toppings, as desired

Directions

  1. Preheat pizza stone in oven for 10-15 minutes at 450 degrees.

  2. On a lightly floured surface, working from the center to the edge, pat and roll the dough into a circle that is a little smaller than the stone.

  3. Sprinkle the pizza peel with cornmeal.

  4. Gently slide the wooden peel under the prepared pizza dough.

  5. Spread the prepared dough with pizza sauce to lightly cover the top.

  6. Scatter with grated mozzarella cheese and any other desired toppings such as sliced onion, olive, pepperoni or mushroom.

  7. Quickly open the oven door and using the pizza peel gently slide the pizza onto the preheated baking stone.

  8. Bake 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is crispy and light brown and the cheese is melted.

  9. Using pot holders, carefully remove the baking stone and rack from the pizza oven.

  10. Cut pizza into 8 wedges and serve at once.
