Alita’s potato soup

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sliced carrots
  • 1 yellow onion finely chopped
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 8 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • Non-fat milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 package pre-cooked bacon, finely cut
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Johnny seasoning salt (optional)

Directions

  1. Boil vegetables in water until soft

  2. Drain the water leaving behind a small amount of water to save the flavor of the vegetables. Pour in milk so the soup is a thick consistency. If you add too much milk it will be too thin. Add in bacon and butter. Stir until butter is melted and milk has warmed up.
