Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons sunflower or corn oil
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (2-3 medium)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease & flour 1 big loaf pan.

  3. Measure all ingredients, except chocolate chips, into large mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed 1/2 minute, scraping sides & bottom of bowl frequently.

  4. Fold in chocolate chips after mixing is done. Pour into loaf pan.

  5. Bake about 1 hour or until wooden toothpick inserted into center comes out clean (and top is nicely brown but top & sides not burned).

  6. Remove from pan after a minute or so.
