Flax Seed Crackers: Raw

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup chopped bell pepper (red or green)
  • 1/3 cup cilantro
  • 2/3 cup sun dried tomatoes
  • 1 1/4 cups diced fresh tomatoes
  • 1 tsp minced jalapeno
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 2 cups flax seeds
  • Ideally all ingredients should be organic

Directions

  1. In a food processor, combine bell peppers, cilantro, tomatoes, jalapeno, garlic, olive oil and sea salt. Puree.

  3. Add the flax seeds to the food processor and puree one more time.

  5. Spread the flax seed mixture out on a solid dehydrator tray.

  7. Dehydrate at 90 degrees for 4 hours. (Check to ensure the top is dry all over.)

  9. Cut them into the desired size crackers and place them on a mesh dehydrator tray. This allows the air to circulate more easily around the crackers. Dry the flax seed crackers for approximately 5 more hours, checking periodically to see if they are done.
