Sea Glass Candy

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 - 1 teaspoon flavoring oil
  • food coloring
  • confectioner's sugar, for dusting

Directions

  1. Lightly grease cookie sheet

  2. Place on a wire cooling rack

  3. Stir sugar, corn syrup and water in medium

  4. saucepan over medium high heat until sugar dissolves

  5. Without stirring, boil until candy thermometer registers 300-310

  6. Immediately remove

  7. Wait for 1-2 minutes for boiling to stop

  8. With wooden spoon, stir in oil and color until blended

  9. Pour immediately onto cookie sheet

  10. Cool completely about 20 minutes

  11. Dust lightly with confectioner’s sugar

  12. Break into small pieces

  13. Store in an airtight container
