Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c flour-sifted
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 t cream of tartar
- 1/4 t salt
- 1 c butter, soft
- 1/2 t lemon extract
- 2 c sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- extra sugar

oven: 350

sift all dry ingredients together.

cream butter, vanilla, lemon in mixer bowl. add 2 c sugar and beat until fluffy. beat in eggs, 1 yolk at a time. add flower mixture gradualy, betaing well. shape into 1 in. balls. place 2 in. apart on a cookie sheet. flatten with the bottom of a glass that’s been dipped in sugar.
