Almond- Crusted Tilapia with Lemon Sauce

Ingredients

  • Tilapia fillets
  • Agave nectar
  • Panko breadcrumbs
  • Dry almonds
  • Italian seasoning
  • Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Half N Half
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1/2 cup Chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Grind an even amount of almonds, breadcrumbs and italian seasoning in food processor.

  2. Cover both sides of tilapia with agave nectar and coat with almond mixture.

  3. Cook in olive oil over medium heat in non-stick skillet, turning over after golden brown (about 5 min a side).

  4. Combine half n half and chicken broth in small saucepan and cook until boiling on low- medium heat, whisking constantly.

  5. Take off burner and add 1 lemon- full of juice and zest and a dash of pepper

  6. Serve fish with lemon sauce drizzled over it.
