Bread Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 cups celery, chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 3 carrots
  • butter
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons sage
  • pepper to taste
  • dash of sugar
  • 2 bags croutons
  • 2 cubes chicken bouillion to make 3 cups liquid

Directions

  1. Saute onions, celery, carrots and green pepper in butter

  2. Add sage, pepper and a dash of sugar

  3. Add in 2 bags of croutons and saute

  4. Pour in 3 cups of chicken broth and stir.

  5. Add beaten eggs.

  6. Cover for 5 minutes and let stand

  7. Cover and place in casserole.

  8. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 30 minutes, uncover and bake for 15 minutes more

  9. While baking, baste with turkey juices
