Filled Ham and Cheese Rolls

Ingredients

  • Ham Filling:
  • 2 cups chopped cooked ham (or ground cooked ham)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped sweet pickles
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle juice
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • Cheese Filling:
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 6 green onions, thinly sliced (include some tender green tops)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped black olives
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Sandwiches:
  • 6 crusty sourdough sandwich buns, split lengthwise
  • 1 -2 tablespoon mayonnaise

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.

  2. Spread cut sides of rolls lightly with mayonnaise.

  3. On bottom half of rolls; spread a layer of ham filling, then a layer of cheese filling.

  4. Replace tops of rolls; wrap sandwiches in foil; bake 15-20 minutes, until warmed through.
