Peanut Butter Sheet Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Frosting:
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 6 Tbsp. buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Mix peanut butter, water, and butter in a pan and bring to a boil.

  2. Sift sugar, brown sugar, flour, salt, and soda and add to peanut butter mixture.

  3. Mix 2 eggs, buttermilk and vanilla and add to above mixture.

  4. Stir well and pour into greased or parchment lined cookie sheet pan (jelly-roll pan). Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees.

  5. Frosting:

  6. Mix butter, buttermilk, and peanut butter in pan and bring to boil.

  7. Take off stove and add powdered sugar and vanilla.

  8. Pour over warm cake.
