Macadamia Nut Cookies with White Chocolate Glaze

Ingredients

  • Cookie:
  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 3/4 c. finely ground macadamia nuts
  • Glaze:
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 oz. white chocolate, melted
  • milk

Directions

  1. Sift together flour and powdered sugar. Set aside.

  2. Beat butter until creamy.

  3. Add flour and macadamia nuts. Mix until dough forms.

  4. On a lightly floured sheet of wax paper, form the dough into a 10 inch log.

  5. Roll the log in the wax paper and refrigerate until firm, 2 hours.

  6. Preheat oven to 350ยบ.

  7. Cut dough log into 1/4-inch slices. Place on a baking sheet.

  8. Bake 9-11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

  9. Cool completely and then glaze.

  10. For the glaze, whisk all ingredients together.
