Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 6 pounds potatoes
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • white pepper

Directions

  1. Wash and pare potatoes

  2. Heat salted water to boiling

  3. Add potatoes

  4. Cover and cook until tender, about 20-25 minutes

  5. Drain

  6. Press through potato masher

  7. Gradually add the rest of the ingredients which have been gently heated through.

  8. Mix with mixer until smooth

  9. Do not overbeat
