Dolmades

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1/4 cup lemon
  • 1 cup fresh mint
  • 1 cup fresh dill
  • 2 cups onion
  • salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Saute the onion in oil and add the rice the rest of the ingredients and a cup of water

  2. Simmer on low heat, covered for about 1 hour.

  3. Roll the dolmades

  4. Place in a pot and cover with water

  5. Place a heavy plate on top and simmer for about 2 hours

  6. Serve with lemon juice squeezed on top
