Standard Buttercream Icing

(from EmilyCOx’s recipe box)

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla
  • 3-4 tbsp heavy cream

Directions

  1. Soften butter (enough to put a dent in it with your finger)

  2. In Mixer put butter and vanilla and and add sugar slowly.

  3. Add about half heavy cream about halfway through adding sugar

  4. Add the rest of the sugar, then add the rest of the heavy cream
