Teriyaki Chicken

Original recipe called for half as many ingredients for the teriyaki sauce, but I found that this was not enough. Original recipe used broiler for 6-8 minutes instead of oven

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon corn oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 boneless chicken breasts

Directions

  1. Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, oil. ginger, garlic powder and black pepper in a medium sized bowl set aside.

  2. Cut the chicken into strips 1/2 inch wide and 2 inches long.

  3. Add the chicken to the bowl and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours so the flavor penetrates the chicken.

  4. Preheat the oven to 425 degree. Once preheated, Cook for 5-6 minutes on one side, and 5-6 minutes on the other.
