Cheesy Stuffed Burgers

Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 TBSP extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup peeled and finely minced yellow onion
  • 1 TBSP very finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 lb ground chuck (or ground turkey)
  • 1/2 tsp coarse salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup coarsely grated cheese of your choice
  • 4 buns

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a small skillet over low heat.

  2. Add onion & rosemary; cook until soft & sweet, about 10 minutes.

  3. Let mixture cool a little bit & then put in a large mixing bowl with meat, salt & pepper.

  4. Combine all the ingredients in the bowl.

  5. Divide into quarters.

  6. Divide each quarter in half and form into two thin patties.

  7. Place 2 TBSP cheese on pne patty; place other patty on top, oinching edges together.

  8. Repeat with remaining patties.

  9. Cook until browned on both sides (about 10 minutes total).

  10. Serve on buns with your favorite fixings.
