Mustard Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans, washed and trimmed
  • 1 -2 tablespoon unsalted butter or 1 -2 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, plus
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Steam green beans for 6-8 minutes, or until tender.

  2. Melt butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium heat. Stir in mustard, salt , sugar (if using) and pepper. Add cooked green beans to skillet and toss to coat.
