Baked French Toast with Raspberry Sauce

Cook time: 30 minutes
Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c milk
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 4 thick bread slices
  • 2 TBSP melted butter
  • 1 bag frozen raspberries or strawberries

Directions

  1. In 9×13 baking dish whisk together eggs, milk 1/4 c. sugar, vanilla and salt

  2. Arrange bread in single layer, let soak 15 min.

  3. Turn bread over; cover and refridgerate until most liquid absorbed. (30 min – overnight)

  4. Preheat over 350 deg.

  5. Brush baking sheet with butter

  6. Transfer bread to sheet

  7. Bake until set in center and light brown bottom (25-30 min.)

  8. For Syrup:

  9. In Med bowl – combine raspberries or strawberries and 1/4 c. sugar, mash lightly with fork
