Grandma’s Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • pie shells either store bought or roll your own
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup (Steen's pure cane)
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup real butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Directions

  1. In a pot combine sugar,salt,corn syrup-heat up and stir till sugar melts, add butter and stir till it melts, add vanilla, pecans and eggs-fold and mix up well-pour into pie shell. I usually get 2 pies out of this recipe, bake at 350 degrees for about 40 min-or until knife inserted in middle of pie comes out clean.
