Cheesy Broccoli Bake

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh broccoli, trimmed and cut up
  • 2 tbls butter, plus more for greasing casserole
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 8oz can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat over to 350˚

  2. Butter a 9″ × 13″ casserole

  3. Steam broccoli

  4. Melt butter and saute celery, mushrooms, and onion

  5. Combine broccoli, celery, mushrooms, onion, and water chestnuts in a bowl.

  6. Heat soup and 2 cups cheese over low heat until melted together.

  7. Pour over veggies.

  8. Add salt and pepper.

  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, sprinkle top with 1 cup cheese last 5 minutes of baking.
