Sausage Phyllo Rolls

Ingredients

  • cooking spray
  • 1 TBSP olive oil
  • 1 (6 oz) package cremini mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 lb hot italian turkey sausage, crumbled
  • 2 oz RF cream cheese - room temp.
  • 1/2 c. RF shredded cheese
  • 16 sheets phyllo dough

Directions

  1. 375 deg. oven -spray baking sheet

  2. Heat oil in skillet on med-high heat

  3. Add mushrooms, onion, and salt.

  4. cook, stir occassionally over med heat until mushroom mix is tender – 8 min.

  5. Remove – stir in turkey, cream cheese and cheese until well blended

  6. place 1 sheet of phyllo with short side facing you

  7. Spray phyllo sheet with spray

  8. Fold it in 1/2 lengthwise and spray.

  9. Place heaping TBSP filling in center of botttem end of phyllo

  10. Fold sides, roll up from the bottom to completely enclose filling (looks like an egg roll)

  11. Place roll, seam side down on baking sheet

  12. Repeat with remaining phyllo sheets – 16 rolls

  13. Sptray rolls generoutsly with cooking spray and bake until lightly golden brown – 20 min.
