Rum Cake

Ingredients

  • RUM CAKE:
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup of dark rum
  • GLAZE:
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark rum

Directions

  1. RUM CAKE: Mix everything together well and bake in a preheated oven 325 degrees for 1 hour.

  2. GLAZE: Cook ingredients of glaze slowly until the mixture is clear, cool and put over cake.
