Coconut and Pecan Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/3 cup angel flake coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions

  1. Combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter, and vanilla. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened (about 12 minutes). Them remove from heat.

  2. Add coconut and pecans or walnuts. Beat until thickened.
