Creamy Gritz

Cook time: 50 minutes
Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 2 T. Butter
  • 2 C. Chicken Broth
  • 1/2 C. Non-Instant Gritz
  • 2 C. Heavy Cream

Directions

  1. Bring butter and broth to a boil.

  2. Add gritz and stir.

  3. Reduce heat to simmer.

  4. Cook for 10 minutes or until most of broth is absorbed.

  5. Add 1/4 C. of cream and cook for another 10 minutes or until cream absorbed.

  6. Continue adding cream 1/4 C. at a time.

  7. Cook until thickened.

  8. Should be soupy but full bodied enough not to run on plate.

  9. Serve Hot.
