Creamy Chicken Bake

Use American cheese slices, not American cheese food slices. Try Cream of Mushroom instead of Cream of Chicken, if you like. Stove Top stuffing mix is good as is. If using brand with flavor packet, include that.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken soup
  • 1/4 C. white wine
  • 2 C. dry chicken stuffing mix
  • 1/3 C. butter, melted

Directions

  1. Lightly grease bottom of 9 × 13 baking dish with Pam or Crisco vegetable shortening.

  2. Put chicken in dish and cover with cheese slices.

  3. Put undiluted soup into mixing bowl and stir in white wine thoroughly.

  4. Pour soup/wine mixture over top of dish.

  5. Distribute stuffing mix evenly over top of dish.

  6. Drizzle with melted butter.

  7. Bake, uncovered, in preheated 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes or until the chicken is done.
