Hashed Brown Quiche

Ingredients

  • 3 cup Shredded Hashed Browns, thawed and drained
  • 4 Tablespoon Butter, melted
  • 4 eggs, large
  • 1 cup milk or half and half
  • 1/2 ring smoked sausage, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 4 slice bacon, cooked and diced
  • 2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • to taste salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees

  2. In a bowl, combine butter, hashed browns, salt and pepper. Mix well. Press into a greased pie plate, creating a crust.

  3. Bake for 30 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, cook smoked sausage, onion and bacon. In a bowl, beat eggs and milk.

  5. When the crust is done, take out of the oven. Put the sausage mixture into the bottom of the pan, spreading evenly. Cover the meat mixture with cheese, making sure to cover completely. Pour egg mixture over the whole pie and shake to even out.

  6. Reduce oven heat to 350 degrees. Bake quiche for 30 minutes.

  7. **To double recipe, bake in 9×13 pan, and increase both cooking times by 10 minutes.
