Snowball Chocolate Cake

A perfectly different dessert to bring to a dinner. It’s a favourite!

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg devils food cake mix
  • 1 pkg softened cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pkg vanilla instant pudding
  • 1/4 cup icing sugar
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 2 cups thawed whipped topping
  • 1 cup coconut

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350

  2. Prepare cake batter in ovenproof bowl

  3. Scrape side of bowl with spatula

  4. Beat next three ingredients until well blended

  5. Spoon mixture into centre of batter in bowl

  6. Bake 1 hour 5 minutes (in bowl) – toothpick test

  7. Cool 10 min

  8. Loosen cake from bowl with knife (this is tricky)

  9. Cool cake completely (in freezer if needed)

  10. Beat dry pudding mix, icing sugar, and milk (2 min)

  11. Stir in whipped topping

  12. Refrigerate until ready to ice cake

  13. When iced (make sure cake is totally cool), cover with coconut and refrigerate
