Caprial & John’s Pizza Crust

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup warm water (about 100-110 degrees)
  • 1/2 teaspoon yeast
  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • About 1 1/4 cups bread flour
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven 425 degrees

  2. place the water, yeast and olive oil in the bowl of a mixer fitted with a dough hook.

  3. Mix and let stand a moment to activate the yeast.
  4. Add about 1/2 cup of flour to the yeast and mix well.

  5. Add a bit of the flour at a time mix welling after each bit of flour.

  6. Add the flour until the dough cleans the side of the bowl but sticks to the bottom of the bowl.

  7. Add the salt and mix ten minutes.

  8. Form into a ball and place in a well oiled bowl.

  9. Cover and let stand 1 hour or until doubled in volume.

  10. Once doubled in volume roll or stretch into a 12 inch circle. Place on a well floured pizza peel.

  11. Cook about 5 minutes or just until brown.
