Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • Topping
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 Teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 Cup Coarsley Chopped Walnuts
  • Cake
  • 8 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 Cups flour
  • 1 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 Teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions

  1. eheat oven to 350. Make topping and set aside

  2. Butter and flour 9 inch spring form pan. In a medium bowl whisk dry ingredients

  3. Beat (with an electric mixer) butter, sugar and eggs until smooth. Add the flour mixture alternately with the sour cream, begin and end with the flour mixture.

  4. Spread half the batter into the prepared baking pan and sprinkle with 1/2 the topping. Repeat.

  5. Bake until toothpick comes out clean. 25-30 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes, remove sides of pan and cool on a rack.
