Dressing

Serves 10 people

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 4 stalks celery chopped
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 loaf white bread (leave it soft)
  • 1/4 cup parsley chopped
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sage
  • 1/4 tsp savory
  • 1/4 tsp marjoram
  • 1/4 tsp thyme

Directions

  1. Chop up onion and celery in small pieces and cook with butter for several minutes, just long enough to give them that slightly cooked taste (onion is transparent)

  2. Crumble bread into large bowl and toss together with chopped parsley seasonings and onion mixture

  3. Add two cups of broth from cooked turkey to the above mixture.

  4. Place into a well buttered casserole dish and cook 350 degrees for about 1 hour
