Springfield Rum Cake

Ingredients

  • Yellow cake mix
  • Vanilla Instant pudding
  • 1/2 c water
  • 1/2 c oil
  • 1/2 c white rum
  • 4 eggs
  • Crushed pecans
  • Icing:
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1/4 c water
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 2 oz rum

Directions

  1. Grease & flour tube pan. Cover the bottom of the pan with the crushed pecans. Mix the pudding and cake mixes together. Add rest of ingredients except eggs. Beat in eggs one at a time. Bake at 325F for 1 hour.
  2. Icing:
  3. Blend ingredients together and boil one minute. Pour mixture over cake straight out of the oven(poke holes in cake first). let stand for 30 minutes and then remove from pan.
