Steak Diane

Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless sirloin steak
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces pre-sliced fresh mushrooms (rinsed)
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/2 cup brown gravy
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons steak sauce
  • 1/4 cup red wine

Directions

  1. Preheat large saute pan on medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes.

  2. Cut steaks into 4 portions, sprinkle each side with seasoned salt.

  3. Place butter in pan, swirl to coat.

  4. Add steak and cook 6-8 minutes on each side.

  5. Remove steaks from pan and set aside.

  6. Add mushrooms and onions to same pan, stirring to loosen browned bits left on the bottom.

  7. Meanwhile, combine gravy, s our cream and steak sauce in small bowl.

  8. Stir wine and gravy mixture into pan, cook 1-2 minutes, stirring often, or until mixture boils and sauce begins to thicken.

  9. Return steaks to pan, reduce heat to low. Cook 1-2 minutes to blend flavors.

  10. Serve.
