Chicken Chili

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 2 t cumin
  • 2 t chili powder
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/4 t cinnamon
  • 1 lb bonelss chicken, cut into 1 " chunks
  • 1 T oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans ( 14 1/2 oz ea.) Mexican style diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1/2 c salsa
  • 3/4 c golden raisins
  • 1 can black beans, drained

Directions

  1. Combine 1st 4 spices and coat chicken

  2. heat oil and cook onion about 5 min

  3. Add chicken and garlic, cook 3 min, stir

  4. Add tomatoes, salsa, raisins, simmer 10 minutes

  5. Add black beans, simmer 5 minutes

  6. Serve with sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese and cilantro
