Marinated Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 1-1 1/2 lb mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 c red wine vinegar
  • 1 c water
  • 1/2 c olive oil
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 t thyme
  • 1/2 t onion powder
  • 2 t salt
  • 12 black peppercorns

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients except mushrooms in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer 5 minutes.

  2. Add washed mushrooms and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.

  3. Refrigerate when cooled
