Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons softened butter
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups diced apples
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts
Directions

Cream, butter sugar, and egg together.

Stir all dry ingredients together then add to creamed mixture.

Add apples, nuts, and vanilla.

Mix well.

Spread into a greased 8" square pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
