Chocolate Fudge

(from mitchellboone’s recipe box)

Ingredients

  • 3 c sugar
  • 4 heaping tablespoons cocoa
  • 3 T light corn syrup
  • 1 c evaporated milk
  • 6 T butter
  • 1 c chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 1/2 t vanilla

Directions

  1. Mix sugar and cocoa then stir in syrup and milk.

  2. Cook in saucepan over medium stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Boil around 5 mins until it reaches softball stage on candy thermometer.

  3. Remove from heat. Quickly stir in butter, pecans and vanilla.

  4. Pour into buttered 9×9 pan.
